Biography

Dr. Nicolas Calvet grew up in France where he studied solar and renewable energy. Felix Trombe, a French scientist who built the world’s biggest solar furnace, inspired him to develop the UAE’s first solar platform which stores solar energy for reuse as clean and renewable energy. His company commercializes the world’s first 100% recycled thermal energy. His advice for youths today is to never let failure prevent them from persevering as success will soon follow. He finds the UAE the perfect place for the development of solar platforms because the country has a high solar resource and a perfect renewable energy market.
