Biography
Afra Al Dhaheri grew up in Abu Dhabi, spending her summer holidays in the United States. Following her studies at Zayed University, she continued her education in the arts at the esteemed Rhode Island School of Design, receiving a Master of Fine Arts. As a passionate artist, Afra’s interdisciplinary practice spans painting, sculpture, textiles and ceramics.

BAIT15 is an artist-run studio and exhibition space grown out of a residential neighborhood in downtown Abu Dhabi. Founded in 2017, BAIT15 provides an inclusive platform to nurture discussion and critical discourse for all manners related to the UAE’s growing artistic community. Members of BAIT15 represent interdisciplinary practices, including: painting, sculpture, textile and performance arts.
