Biography
Badr Ward is Palestinian-Canadian living in Abu Dhabi with an Information Technology degree from the American University in Dubai. Badr conceptualised Lamsa in 2012, when he noticed his children were spending a significant amount of time on their mobile devices. Meaning “touch” in Arabic, Lamsa focuses on early childhood development for children aged between 2 and 8 through interactive Arabic content.

Lamsa is an Arabic educational app launched in 2014, with more than 17 million downloads. Lamsa takes children on an educational journey to compliment the most critical years of childhood development. Through Lamsa, children bolster their academic, language and creativity skills, while enhancing their self-confidence. Lamsa’s educational content is designed in accordance with the principles of early childhood development and under the supervision of educational and developmental experts.
