Biography
Dr. Mariët Westermann joined NYU Abu Dhabi in 2019 as Vice Chancellor and Professor of Arts and Humanities. Prior to her role, Dr. Westerman oversaw the Mellon Foundation’s annual grantmaking and research portfolio of more than $300 million. She holds a Master’s and Ph.D. from NYU’s Institute of Fine Arts in New York.
