Biography

Douaa Ahmad Barakat grew up in Syria. Her mother suffered from thyroid disease and the desire to help her inspired her dream. Her studies in biomedical engineering and medicine enabled her to find a faster way to test hormone levels. She believes dreams need to be fuelled with the desire to better humanity. Perseverance will enable anyone to realize their vision, especially in a country like the UAE which places a lot of importance on education, growth and development. The UAE enables projects such as hers to flourish.
